St. Edmund's Nursery School

Description

Faith-based church affiliated program. Classes aim to prepare children to enter elementary school while emphasizing basic self-help skills, spiritual studies, and artistic expression. Religious instruction is inclusive and teaches Christian principles through stories, songs, and lessons. Children attend music lessons in which regular curriculum is reinforced, children learn about rhythym and tune recognition, and follow directions. Daily lessons include hands on activities and teacher-guided learning in math, science, literacy, and social studies. Students may interact with visiting animals, play with building blocks or develop motor skills by drawing, explore the outdoor play area, practice pre-writing and reading skills, and even cooking.
